Conscious Breath

Forged in rolling seas of dreams
The mystic well resides.
Dancing thoughts ride torrent streams
Where imagination hides.
Frozen skies and neon clouds
Carry words in crystal rain.
Faces wearing waves like shrouds
Swallow wayward ships of pain.
Home to endless echoes,
One feeble twisted howl.
Eyes shift under sweating lids,
Satan's breath wreaks foul.
Playground to these hollow hearts
Of Angels wandering lost.
Trade your soul for wicked wants
And Heaven be the cost.
I walk outside my lucid skin,
My waking thoughts return.
I feel the sting of evil's tongue,
The conscious breath does burn.

I Will Choose

Lips move silent to treated voice,
Technically altered in a vacant room.
Smiling clueless to clueless drones,
Their thoughts suppressed since Mother's womb.
Manufactured superstars,
Dressed and fed by faceless greed.
Their lives a myth, a stagnant dream
Without a truth on which to feed.
Resist with me this vacuous realm,
Lifeless words and endless trite.
Follow closer to the heart
On vapor trails of tear's twilight.

King of Lost Souls

Ghosts of bitter sorrow rein
Within my somber, dark domain.
Tears of Angels streak my walls;
Cast aside, they walk these halls.
Voices echo in the night,
Whispers of their lonely plight.
Lost souls searching, drawn to me;
Window to the living sea.
I am haven for their grief.
I am King of disbelief.
Hidden here like tears in rain,
They find solace in my pain.

Ficticious Eyes

I see behind ficticious eyes,
Tears that freeze upon icy skin.
A warmth is buried, trying to rise
Through cracks in stone from deep within.
I am allowed during hearts eclipse
To venture through her darkest seas.
To taste her unprotected lips,
In waves of love they whisper please.
I see behind ficticiuos eyes,
A brief glimpse into my lover's light
That carries me through the veiled disguise
Until once again we share the night.

Abyss

The wind that howls in the deepest night
is a comforting sound.
The dog that moans at the earliest light
is a soulmate found.
I abhor the thought of wistful bliss,
of nervous laughter unprovoked.
I slip into my warm abyss,
this sea of pain on which I choke.
I wade in pools of sought despair
while others seek their Mothers.
I dance on floors of rotted wood
and sing to ghosts of lovers.
I find it my salvation
to document this pain;
to analyze the demons
and revel in the rain.
Perhaps one day I'll leave this place
and walk into the sun
to face the light of happiness,
content my deed is done.

I Stay

Hold your memories of me
In this distant place,
Between truth and hope.
Between thought and sleep.
A place that only we know.
A place that only we can reach.
You will find me there,
For I have yet to leave,
And will forever remain,
A dream without an end.
A memory without a home.
I stay,
Adrift,
Awaiting your slumber.

Second Sun

Worm twists on a shimmering hook
And streaks towards it's final splash.
Backyard wedding, laughter echoes
On the wings of a camera flash.
Starlings find a telephone line
To rest, review the day.
Stars prepare to greet the night,
Born milleniums away.
Traveling whisper, undisturbed,
A million years in flight;
To catch the eye of desperate souls;
To spark in them a light.
Infant's final cry is heard
Above the halted wind.
Stevie Nicks sends frozen love
To caress the somber din.
In a million years on a distant land
Our final light is done
As the worm evades it's watery grave
At the edge of the second sun.
